Ryan embarked on his creative journey at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, where he honed his artistic talents for two years. He then completed his final year at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating in 2016 with a BA in Fashion Graphics and Textiles.This pivotal year marked the beginning of his pursuit to leave an indelible mark on the fashion world.
2017
Fueled by a bold vision, Ryan founded his own company in 2017, setting out to redefine modern fashion with a focus on sustainable luxury. Drawing inspiration from iconic brands like Jo Malone and Chanel, he introduced high-quality, eco-friendly packaging that perfectly complemented his premium products. With a deep understanding of retail and a keen eye for trends, Ryan strategically catered to the vibrant tourism and cruise ship market in Liverpool, capturing the hearts of locals and visitors alike.
2018
Ryan’s creative brilliance took center stage in 2018 when he debuted his designs at the renowned Pure London fashion show. That year, he also launched an exclusive collection of bespoke summer kaftans, which quickly became a sensation in high-end boutiques across Dubai and London. This marked a significant milestone in his journey, solidifying his reputation as a visionary designer with an unwavering commitment to elegance and innovation.
2019
Ryan collaborated with renowned names and institutions, including Philip Armstrong, The Palm House, Liverpool County Council, and the Open Door Charity. His creative genius shone through in designing a bespoke print for the Penny Lane Trust Foundation and the iconic Strawberry Fields, showcasing his ability to merge artistry with purpose.
His passion for textiles and design naturally led him to expand into A4 and A3-sized prints, a move that perfectly complemented his expertise and allowed him to bring his vision to a wider audience.


2020
Ryan’s bespoke creations gained significant traction, finding a home in independent retail outlets across the North West. His work was proudly featured in iconic locations such as The Strawberry Fields, The Tate Modern, the Penny Lane Trust Foundation, and Moss Bros, where his silk pocket squares became a must-have accessory.
Mid-2020
Ryan took his creativity to new heights by launching an exclusive limited-edition candle collection. This range, inspired by his bespoke Liverpool prints, featured five captivating designs: Liverpool Waterfront, The Beatles, John Lennon/Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, and the Shankly candle. Each candle was crafted using 100% natural vegan soy wax and infused with luxurious, vegan-friendly fragrances. With only 500 pieces ever made, this collection was a testament to Ryan’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and his deep connection to Liverpool’s cultural heritage.


2022
The world after Covid-19 was a vastly different place, reshaping how people thought, felt, and interacted with the world around them. Consumer habits evolved, redefining how they shopped, spent, and connected with brands. For Ryan, this was a pivotal moment—a time to pause, reflect, and reimagine the future of Ryan James Products.
It was a year of introspection and ambition. Ryan asked himself the big questions: Where do I want to take the business? Who do I want to become in the next five years? Amidst the uncertainty, one thing remained constant—his unshakable determination and discipline to not only grow his brand but also to evolve as a designer. A chance meeting with the management team from XLR, a company operating four luxury private jet centers across the UK in Birmingham, Liverpool, Bournemouth, and Exeter, opened new doors for Ryan. Their collaboration on bespoke luxury silk scarves and pocket squares, designed as exclusive gifts for XLR’s VIP clients, was met with overwhelming success. This partnership flourished, leading to Ryan’s creations being permanently stocked in XLR’s gift shops across the UK, offering travelers a taste of elegance and sophistication.
Building on this momentum, Ryan began designing his first London collection, destined for iconic stores such as Liberty and Harrods, as well as premium airport gift shops in the capital. This marked the beginning of an exhilarating new chapter as Ryan expanded beyond Liverpool, bringing his unique vision to the heart of the UK’s fashion scene.
